DUE to Covid restrictions, The J S Hubbuck Trophy could not be presented to winner Emilia Heslop, of Bridge House Farm.
The presentation took place at the anniversary sale at Hexham and Northern Marts.
Mrs Sarah Sparke, of J S Hubbuck, presented Emilia with the trophy for the animal that made the largest margin between purchase and selling price.
For Emilia, a Sedgefield YFC member, it was her first time taking part in the competition.
She purchased the very correct and shapely Limousin cross heifer from Brian Storey, Woodhead, Haltwhistle.
It sold for a straight £500 more than the purchase price of £770 with the hammer falling at £1,270 in favour of regular purchaser at Hexham and one of the most longstanding supporters of the competition, Mr Les Bainbridge, Seamer, Stokesley.
