A FARMING stalwart has been recognised for more than 30 years of dedicated service.

Hexham and Northern Marts made a presentation to mart foreman Roy Coe at the Hexham Anniversary Sale in recognition of his work at the town centre Hexham and Tynedale Mart premises and since 1995, at the modern Tyne Green complex.

Robert Smith said: “Undoubtedly one of the greatest characters at Hexham Mart, Roy has been a constant presence for many decades; first there in the morning and last to leave at night and whilst he will remain with the company, he will now enjoy a new role in an advisory capacity.”

Mart directors congratulate both Roy and Anne Coe and thanked them for their continued efforts on behalf of the company.

Hexham and Northern Marts’ Michael Walton, a director at the mart, made the presentation.
