THE A695 at Prudhoe was closed this morning (Thursday) after a fuel spillage.
The road just past Stanley Burn and the industrial estate was closed temporarily so it could be cleared.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "It has since been reopened and there was no significant congestion as a result of the closure."
