"We are ridiculously busy, ive been with Pattinsons since 2010 and i have never known it to be as busy as thisand i have never known there to be a shortage of properties for sale or for rent."

Data from Pattinsons estate agents also show that in the past three months 55% of buyers are local, 20% within 50 miles but not local and 25% of buyers lived more than 50 miles away.

Marc added that covid is another factor to why more and more people are now deciding to move. He said: "Companies are now instructing people to work from home which we never used to do before, the facilities we've got round here for internet are excellent, so people can base themselves in their own house.

"Another benefit is the open space we have got, they havent got them in the town's and cities."
