Lloyds bank in Priestpopple, Hexham, is temporarily closed.
Several customers have arrived at the bank to find the doors shut and the lights off during normal banking hours.
The bank has confirmed the closure is due to a number of staff self isolating.
It was unable to confirm when services will next be available.
A spokesperson for Lloyds Bank said: “We have temporarily closed the Lloyds Bank Hexham branch as, in line with government guidance, a number of our colleagues are currently self-isolating.
"Our priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues and customers and we will reopen the branch as soon as we can.”
