THE retiring president of Tynedale Rotary has handed over her chain of office.
Celia Leach chose Prudhoe’s Pocket Park, on the town's Front Street, for the socially distanced hand-over to successor Michael Gibbney.
Celia, who has been the club's president for two years, said she is proud of the way Tynedale Rotary has kept faith throughout the pandemic with its commitment to helping the community by donating substantial sums to schools to fund computers for home schooling.
In his new role, Michael is now looking forward to getting 'back to normal' as restrictions are lifted and communities begin to recover from the virus' impact.
Fund-raising activities and Wednesday lunchtime meetings at Hexham’s County Hotel are open to anybody interested in the work of Rotary - both locally and worldwide.
