A MAN is set to face two separate trials after he allegedly assaulted a police officer and intimidated a witness.
Thomas Eric Clough, 34, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court from Barlinnie Prison in Glasgow on Friday.
He denied one charge of assaulting a police officer on February 25 at Workington. He also faced two charges of intimidating a witness on December 4 and December 31, both in Whitehaven. No plea was entered for these charges.
Clough will face trial for allegedly assaulting a PC at Workington Magistrates Court on August 20, and trial at Carlisle Crown Court for the other two offences on July 7.
