A man who assaulted a woman has been handed a community order and restraining order.
Peter Robson (33) of Derwent Road pleaded guilty to the assault,which took place on February 17, and has been given a curfew with electronic monitoring for 3 months.
Robson must stay indoors at his home address between 8pm and 6am.
In addition to the community order, Robson has been handed a two-year restraining order against the victim, where he must not directly or indirectly contact them or go to any address where they live.
Robson was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, and £300 cost to the Crown Prosecution Service.
