Hexham Middle School is hosting a summer ‘fair-well’ as it moves to a new site.

Staff, pupils, and parents will say goodbye to the existing Hexham Middle School site this summer as it moves to a new purpose-built accommodation this September, located on the current QE site.

And to mark the occasion, the school has teamed up with the PTA to host its annual summer fair with several added events to celebrate the end of the school’s time at the site.

Mr Watters, current Deputy Head at Hexham Middle School and new Head of School from September, said: “Our PTA and staff are doing a fantastic job behind the scenes preparing for what will be a really lovely event, which will be a fitting way to bid farewell to our current site.

“Everyone is welcome to join us on July 10 and we are particularly keen for former pupils and staff to come along.

“Ahead of the event, we would love to hear from anyone with a previous association with the school, to send us their reminiscences and to share with us their happy memories from years gone by, which we would like to showcase in some way, either on the day or in a commemorative booklet.

“We are mindful of the current COVID restrictions and will review the national guidance prior to the event taking place.”

The Hexham Middle School ‘Fair-Well’ will take place on Saturday July 10 from 12pm – 3pm.

Any former pupils should contact Hexham Middle School by email before the end of June.
