A VILLAGE has been given a refreshed new image with a new instalment and a refurbishment.
In the past week, Bellingham Parish Council have installed a new sign and completed the refurbishment of a memorial bench.
Robert Stewart’s memorial bench outside of the Old Barclays Bank has been repainted green.
Also, snapped planks and rotting uprights have been replaced with new ones.
A sign has also been refreshed and updated after the Parish council admitted the old one looked “a bit tired”.
The new sign Jubilee Field and has the subtitle “Gateway to Northumberland National Park”.
In a Facebook post, Bellingham Parish Council said that the bench was the start of a rolling programme to refresh or repair all of the village’s assets.
