32 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Northumberland over the latest 24-hour period.

Figures released by the UK Government show that there have now been 17,871 positive cases of Covid-19 since March last year. This figure has jumped up from 17,839 yesterday, when 50 new cases were recorded.

Eight new cases have been recorded in Corbridge across the last 7-day period. All other wards which have recorded more than 5 cases are in East and South Northumberland.

According to figures from Public Health England, there have once again been zero Covid-related deaths recorded in Northumbria NHS Trust hospitals over the last 24 hour period.

Anyone aged over 25 is now eligible to book their first vaccination against Covid-19.
