The A69 is to be closed for three nights during the next few weeks due to ongoing maintenance of a bridge near Hexham.

The road will be closed firstly from 9pm tomorrow evening (Saturday June 5) from 9pm until 6am on Sunday morning between the A6079 Acomb junction and the B6531 Hexham West Junction as part of ongoing maintenance on Constantius Bridge.

The road will then close for a second time in three weeks’ time on Saturday June 26 again at 9pm to swap the contraflow to the opposite carriageway, with the road reopening at 6am on Sunday, June 27.

A third road closure will then also take place a week later on Saturday, July 3 at 9pm, to then remove the contraflow once the work is complete.

The road will reopen at 6am on Sunday July 4 after the contraflow has been removed.
