READERS of the Hexham Courant online took to social media to share their views on the news Stalida Greek Taverna, on Hexham’s Battle Hill, has reopened after a fire in its kitchen last summer.
The popular restaurant had been due to reopen after lockdown when a fire raged through the restaurant last July causing substantial damage to its interior.
Owner Selena Truta, who runs the business alongside husband Billy said: “It’s fantastic! I can’t believe we’re actually open after a year. It was a bit of a nightmare but now we’re looking forwards and onwards.”
