The scales of justice
A TYNEDALE man has been fined for stealing items from a garage on a residential street.
At Newcastle Magistrates' Court on May 26, Steven Raymond Smart (47), of Bradley Road, Prudhoe, pleaded guilty to theft.
The court heard that, on May 17 last year, Smart trespassed by entering a garage to the rear of Biverfield Road, in Prudhoe, and stole bags of various household items to the value of £100.
He was fined £80, and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £34.
