A North East dog festival has been announced for later this year.

The third North East Dog Festival will go ahead on September 4 and 5 at Kirkley Hall in Northumberland, after last year’s was cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions.

Rebecca Ashworth Earle, one of the Dog Festival’s two directors said: “There isn’t anything else like this in the North East. We have been so desperate to do it, but planning has been tentative with everything going on.”

“People and visitors are very important for us, but the most important thing is the dogs. We’re so dog mad that having a platform like this for North East owners is great as it allows people to access training and knowledge that will make their dog’s lives better.”

There will be over 100 exhibitors and several events throughout the festival. Tickets are available at the North East Dog Festival’s website.
