Motorists warned as bridge in Tynedale town closes for essential works
A Northumberland bridge will be closed until Monday morning.
The road bridge and level crossing at Wylam Station (Main Road) is closed to vehicles for essential rail replacement works, and is due to open again at 7am on Monday.
The pedestrian bridge at Wylam Station continues to be open to walkers and cyclists.
The closest crossings over the River Tyne for motorists are Ovingham Bridge and Newburn Bridge.
