ACROSS Northumberland, the young farmers' clubs have been one of the most important institutions throughout.
With the county being so remote and rural, agriculture plays a huge role in the local economy, and the young farmers' clubs have been the lifeblood for future generations for years to come.
And competition against rival clubs has always been a big motivation between them, with annual rallies and events held at different locations.
We take a trip back to the 1990s to have a look at the photographs of young farmers who made their mark in said competitions in a variety of activities.
Drama productions are usually popular among members, while we also see fencing and beauty pageants represented.
