The trial of a Hexham man accused of racially aggravated harassment has been rescheduled for later this month.
Ronald Bryant (53), of Chirdon Crescent, was due to stand trial at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Monday, accused of racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
It is alleged the incident took place last July, and Bryant denies both charges.
He will stand trial at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on May 26.
