One person has died in relation to coronavirus in Northumbria Healthcare hospitals within the last 24 hours.
The news of the additional death means a total of 729 people have now died in relation to Covid-19 in Northumbria’s healthcare hospitals following the latest daily statistics that have been released by NHS England.
Compared to yesterday’s statistics, a further three new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Northumberland, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the county to 17,569.
In Northumberland, and therefore in both the Tyne Valley and Ponteland, none of the region’s wards feature more than five current cases of Covid-19, according to the Northumberland County Council’s latest figures.
Anyone aged 40 and over is now able to book their first vaccination against coronavirus.
