THE winners of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2021 - the world’s leading celebration of the art of food photography and film - have been revealed.

And a photographer from Hexham has been honoured in the awards; Zoe Warde-Aldam was Highly Commended in the Pink Lady Apple a Day category with ‘Apple Bathing.’

“The range and quality of images this year has been extraordinary,” said Caroline Kenyon, founder/director of the awards.

“They tell moving, beautiful, informative, entertaining food stories of every kind from around the world, a world still gripped by the pandemic, and show us how food is the thread that connects us all.”

The restrictions of the pandemic did not defeat the celebrations, with winners announced by Fred Sirieix in an online awards ceremony live streamed on the competition’s YouTube channel.

The exhibition of the 2021 finalists will be premiering at The Royal Photographic Society in Bristol from November 20 - December 12.

Entry is free and is open to all to attend the exhibition.
