Just six new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Northumberland within the latest 24-hour period.
The news of the low figure means that a total of 17,530 cases have been confirmed in the region since the pandemic began last March.
As well as only a few cases having been added to the total, nobody has died in relation to coronavirus in Northumbria Healthcare Hospitals in the latest 24 hour period.
This means the death toll since last March remains at 728 in relation to Covid-19.
In Northumberland, none of the region’s wards currently have five or more positive cases of coronavirus after the latest figures were released by Northumberland County Council.
This means each ward has between zero and four cases of Covid-19 currently.
Over 15.5 million people in the country have now received their second vaccination against Covid-19.
