Once again, there have been no further Covid-related deaths recorded at Northumbria NHS Trust hospitals in the last 24-hour period.
The Covid-related death toll remains at 728 in the trust’s hospitals since last March.
Meanwhile, there have now been 17,524 positive case of Coronavirus in that same time frame – meaning that just 5 new cases have been recorded since yesterday (Sunday) according to figures from Public Health England.
Northumberland County Council data shows that in the last week there have been 55 positive cases in the whole of the county, with all wards having between 0 and 4 Covid cases.
It was announced yesterday that the NHS plans to offer secondary school students the vaccine from September.
