Castle hotel in Northumberland ready to welcome back customers

Langley Castle has said they’re offering ‘castle keep-safe’ stays to people who are thinking about visiting the region this summer as restrictions continue to ease.

May 17 sees hotels allowed to reopen and Langley Castle has said it hopes it can repeat its success of last summer, where it obtained a 97% occupancy rate throughout the season and became the ‘poster boy’ as part of the governments staycation campaign last year.

When it reopens, the hotel will make the most of its location and provide outdoor domes where families can relax privately and safely.

“Our defences were tried and tested to the maximum in summer 2020 and we came through it with flying colours,” said Langley Castle’s manager Margaret Livingstone-Evans. “The Northumberland standard flies high here.

“It will not be lowered in 2021.

“We have an authentic castle, complete with thick walls, robust doors, battlements and lots of other ways to keep the enemy out. Covid-19 will not stop us providing a first-class guest experience.”

The castle itself plays host to nine bedrooms - including being home to four-poster beds and large windows that help you imagine life as a medieval knight or lady, with each room being a fine location to relax, work or study.

Interested visitors could also stay in either the castle grounds, or possibly the newly refurbished Castle Lodge also.

The hotel’s Josephine dining room has also been redesigned to incorporate full social distancing measures at all times, again showing just how the location has adapted to welcome guests during the course of the pandemic.

As well as the rooms and restaurant, Langley Castle also plays host to a large outdoors grounds area that could be the perfect location to explore safely.
