A mobile van pilot scheme which will distribute Covid home testing kits has been launched in Northumberland.
The Department for Health and Social care has offered a mobile unit to improve access to home testing kits for families and support bubbles of school age children across the county.
It is aimed at those who live in hard-to-reach areas who may not be able to attend other collection points.
Members of the public are able to collect Covid test kits, of which there are seven in a pack.
Residents do not need to make a booking, but they must supply their postcode.
The van has so far been stationed at Manor Walks in Cramlington, Ellington Welfare Social Centre, and Cowhaugh Car Park in Rothbury.
Northumberland County Council will confirm more dates and locations soon.
As well as the van, residents can also pick up home testing kits at local testing sites in Ashington, Blyth, Berwick, and Hexham between 2.30pm and 8pm with no appointment necessary.
