A MAN has been remanded in custody despite denying making threatening phone calls to a woman.
At North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on March 25, John Henry Thompson, of no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty to causing fear of violence to the alleged victim.
It is alleged Thompson made the threatening phone calls to the woman at an address in Juniper, near Hexham, on February 22 this year.
Thompson will appear at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on April 8 via videolink.
