Northumbria Police are seeking information from the public after a burglary at an Allendale vets.

The incident was believed to have occurred overnight on Saturday and saw a quantity of medication - including Pentoject - as well as money and other valuables stolen.

Police have also warned that the medicine is potentially dangerous or possibly even lethal to humans if taken.

“We’re carrying out a range of enquiries into this incident, but in the meantime, I would ask members of the community to be vigilant,” said Inspector Michael Quinn.

“We would ask anyone who sees these drugs or has information about the burglary to come forward.”

Anyone with information on the incident has been asked to come forward and the police have also pleaded for the stolen medicines to be handed in at a station.

If you have details on the incident, you are advised to call 101 quoting reference 533 21/03/21 or by using the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website.
