A PRUDHOE man has shown his thanks to hardworking NHS staff.

Kevin Smith was delighted to get his Covid-19 jab and after the service he received, he returned a few days later to the Ponteland vaccination centre - baring gifts.

Kevin took staff daffodils he was given from a local shop and several primula plants, kindly donated by Tom & Joe's Wylam Nurseries, where he occasionally helps out.

"The service I received was outstanding, I am so happy to be given the jab", said Kevin. "The welcome at the centre made things go smoothly that I just wanted to give the flowers to the amazing staff."

County coun. Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, added: "Kevin contacted me as soon as he had been to the centre and said he wanted to give the staff gifts to show his appreciation, and sure enough he kept his promise!"
