Ponteland Beer Festival has been rescheduled until 2022.

Organisers Ponteland Rugby Club said following the postponement of last year's festival due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have attempted to reschedule the event on three separate occasions since April 2020.

They have confirmed the annual community event will take place from Friday June 3 to Sunday June 5 next year.

Organisers posted a statement on their website: "The ongoing covid restrictions, together with the required infrastructure resources, now regrettably mean that the Festival has had to be postponed once again for a second successive year.

"We can confirm that the 2022 Ponteland Beer Festival will take place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June.

"This decision has not been taken lightly and has had a devastating impact on Club finances.

"We were grateful that following the initial postponement of the 2020 event, the vast majority of pre-sold tickets, were retained by our loyal supporters.

"We can confirm that all pre sold tickets, can now be transferred and will be accepted at the 2022 Festival.

"Our previous offer of an extra 4th drinks token upon admission, with these tickets, will still apply in 2022, as well as the fact that by using your existing ticket, this price protects you from any ticket price increase next year.

"No further action is therefore required at this stage other than if any ticket holders wish to seek a refund, then please email us at info@pontelandbeerfestival.co.uk quoting your reference number and this will be processed.

"We do hope to see you in 2022 and in the meantime pass on our best wishes to you all to remain safe and well."
