AN APPLICATION to host a caravan rally in Corbridge has been submitted to the county council.
The Elddis Owners Club, whose headquarters are listed as in Coventry, want permission to welcome owners to Tynedale Rugby Club between April 29 and May 9 this year.
The application has been submitted as the event is planned to last five days or more.
The club's director and vice chairman Peter Turner, of Darras Hall, has submitted the application, and has insisted that the rally would only go ahead if allowed by lockdown restrictions.
If it did go ahead, all Covid-19 restrictions would be adhered to on site, Mr Turner said in the statement letter.
The club's membership is restricted to those that own caravans or motorhomes manufactured by County Durham-based firm Elddis.
