A popular road in the Tyne Valley is currently closed due to resurfacing works taking place.
The B6318 Military road between Greenhead and the junction for Haltwhistle closed at 8am today and is expected to be closed until 5pm this afternoon due to the planned road works.
The road is also set to be closed both tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday - also between 8am and 5pm - as a result of the works.
Currently, the closure sees Greenhead village unable to be accessed via the A69 slip road, with a diversion in place via Gilsland.
The closed stretch of road begins in Greenhead village, then heads up Glenwhelt bank and along the B6318 until the junction with Comb Hill Road.
