Two more Covid-related deaths have been recorded at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals.
The death toll at the trust’s hospitals now stands at 671, according to NHS England figures.
Meanwhile, Public Health England data shows there were 43 new, positive cases recorded in Northumberland yesterday (Thursday).
The total number of cases in the county now stands at 16,363 since the start of the pandemic.
Northumberland County Council publishes the number of positive cases recorded in each council ward. The figures, which are updated daily, show the number of positive cases recorded over the latest seven-day period.
The latest figures show that both Prudhoe North and Hexham East are in the top 10 wards in Northumberland with the most positive cases (eight each) recorded over the most recent seven-day period.
