One in five people in the region have now had a Covid-19 vaccine according to the latest figures released by Northumberland Country Council.
In total, over 70,000 people have now received their first jab in the area, with the government also confirming over 17 million people have now had their first vaccination against coronavirus around the country.
The news follows the announcement earlier this week that anyone over the age of 65 is now eligible to book an appointment for their inoculation.
Anyone eligible to book an appointment can do so on the NHS website at: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
