Despite a further bad weather spell last week, Northumbrian Water was still able to meet the increase in calls from customers with problems that needed repaired.
The organisation have worked throughout the entire pandemic ensuring properties in the region have had a constant water supply, with the recent bad weather - including temperatures of up to -16°C - just another problem to deal with for the organisation.
“As well as assisting with frozen pipes, bursts and leaks, our people have also been on hand 24 hours a day to help with the high levels of calls and contacts from our customers,” said Head of Water Service Planning Martin Lunn.
“We know that losing water supply can be difficult for our customers – which is why our people have been working harder than ever to minimise the risks where we can to prevent this from happening.”
