FIRE crews tackled a house fire in a remote village at the weekend.
Cumbria County Council revealed two fire appliances attended a property on Willowbank Road, in Gilsland, just after 3pm on Sunday.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, and two thermal image cameras to extinguish the fire.
There was one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation.
Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.
