The Government has announced greater integration and innovation as the key theme in its new blueprint for the NHS and social care.
The key message it announced is to raise the quality of social care provision and improve inequalities.
These issue could stand more chance of being achieved by ensuring that all health and social care workers are paid above the real living wage and a commitment from government could move this proposal from rhetoric to reality.
