TWO men have been arrested after a crash in a Tyne Valley town.
Shortly before 9am today (Wednesday), Northumbria Police received a report of a collision on the A695, near to the new roundabout at Stanleyburn, in Prudhoe, where an Audi A3 had collided with a lamppost.
A force spokeswoman said: "Upon arrival, officers saw two men next to the vehicle. The men, aged 44 and 22, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving above the legal alcohol limit.
"Both remain in police custody at this time."
