DETECTIVES searching for a wanted man from have appealed to the public for help in a bid to track him down.

Dominic McDonald, of Newcastle, is currently wanted by officers on prison recall after breaching the terms of his licence. He is also wanted in relation to a burglary and an affray.

Police said they have searched various addresses across Newcastle and Blyth in a bid to locate the 19-year-old, who is avoiding officers despite knowing that he is wanted.

Now officers have appealed to members of the public who may have seen him to come forward with information.

A Northumbria Police statement read: "We would like to reiterate that it is a criminal offence to harbour somebody who is evading arrest and we do not want anyone to get into trouble on Dominic’s account."

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting reference SRN0843406. Alternatively, people can pass on any details to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
