A GIFT SHOP which has a presence in the Tyne Valley has reached its end of year target in raising money for NHS workers.
For the Love of the North has now raised £10,000 for Northumbria NHS Trust's Bright Charity.
In March, the business created an exclusive series of North-East inspired NHS fundraising prints in collaboration with local artists, including Whitley Bay-based Lisa Kirkbride, with 25 per cent of each sale donated to the charity.
On hitting the milestone, owners Paul and Lucy Hull said: "It is absolutely amazing that we have reached our target of £10k for Northumbria NHS Bright Charity.
"It is a wonderful testament to that warm hearted and fabulous community we have in the North-East and all the northern homebirds scattered across the globe who bought the prints. It is that community getting behind what we we're doing that has got us to our target."
