We've rounded up the latest court cases concerning the Tyne Valley heard at Northumberland's Courts. 

The cases appeared in this week's Hexham Courant. 

Haltwhistle

John Richie Carruthers (41) of Crossfield Terrace East, was given a conditional discharge for possessing heroin. He pleaded guilty to the charge at North Tyneside Magistrates Court to possession of the class A drug, and was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22. 

Haydon Bridge

Daniel Brian Boag (30) of John Martin Street was handed a suspended sentence for carrying a kitchen knife in a public place. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to prison for 26 weeks, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and costs of £85.

Hexham 

Alan Charlton (45) of St Pauls Road was handed a community order after he admitted pleasuring himself in full view of his window. Charlton was told he must participate in the Horizon Sex Offenders Programme for 35 sessions by January 13 2024. He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and costs of £85.

Paul Micheal Millar (60) of Gilesgate, was convicted of exposing himself during a trip to Carlisle. Mr Millar denied the offense, but was found guilty at Carlisle's Rickergate Magistrates Court. He was handed a community order that includes a requirement for him to complete an accredited programme that will last 35 days. He was also fined £180, and told he must pay costs of £600 and a victim surcharge of £95. 

Andrew John Robert Fielding (34) will appear at Newcastle Crown Court after pleading guilty to dangerous driving. He will appear at crown court on February 27 for sentencing, and has been remanded on unconditional bail.
