A FURTHER TWO deaths have been confirmed at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals.
NHS England figures show the death toll at the trust's hospitals now stands at 508.
It comes as a further 155 new, positive cases of Covid-19 were reported in the county yesterday (Wednesday) - taking the total since the start of the pandemic, in March, to 13,974 according to Public Health England figures.
Areas of the Tyne Valley remain the worst-affected parts of Northumberland.
Northumberland County Council data up to January 18, shows 852 cases of the virus were reported in the seven days up to January 18, with an infection rate of 266.0 per 100,000 residents - a rise on the week.
