DOUBLE yellow lines will be introduced outside schools in east Tynedale to reduce traffic congestion at school pick-up times once children are allowed back.
Northumberland County Council has informed the public that the parking restrictions on West Road, adjacent Ovingham First School and Ovingham Middle School, will come into force from January 28.
The order will prevent any waiting or loading at all times.
The order states that the restrictions will start on the C254 road at its junction with the Steadings entrance, and will run 226 metres to west of that junction to the entrance of the Close.
Liam Henry, the legal services manager at the county council, submitted the order.
