ANOTHER coronavirus death has been confirmed at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals.
NHS England figures show the death toll at the trust's hospitals now stands at 493.
It comes as a further 112 new, positive cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the county yesterday (Sunday) - taking the total since the start of the pandemic, in March, to 13,601 according to Public Health England.
The Tyne Valley remains the worst-affected part of Northumberland.
Northumberland County Council data up to January 15, shows 784 cases of the virus were reported in the last seven days, with an infection rate of 244.8 per 100,000 residents, which is a rise on the weekend figures.
