MOTORISTS in the Tyne Valley have been warned that fog could follow heavy snowfall on Thursday.
The district woke to a covering of snow this morning, following amber warnings for snow and ice yesterday evening.
The Met Office has a yellow warning in place for snow. Heavy snow is forecasted until early afternoon on Thursday. It is expected to give way to fog mid afternoon.
