A MAN has been banned from the roads for 12 months after being found guilty of drink driving.
Alan James Shield (62), of High Seat, Heddon-on-the-Wall, had denied the charge relating to him being under the influence of alcohol on Stamfordham Road, in Ponteland, on January 8 last year. He was also fined £750 and ordered to pay costs of £620 and a victim surcharge of £75.
