A HEXHAM man has denied using racially aggravated words or behaviour towards a woman.
Ronald Bryant (52), of Chirdon Crescent, pleaded not guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour which were racially aggravated when he appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court last Monday.
He also denied a separate charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour which weren't racially aggravated towards the same woman.
It is alleged both incidents occurred in Hexham on July 25.
Bryant will stand trial at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on May 10.
