A FURTHER six coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals within the latest 24-hour period. 

The death toll on Sunday stood at 468 since the start of the pandemic. An increase of 27 since since January 1, according to latest figures from NHS England. 

Data from Public Health England shows the total number of Covid-19 cases in Northumberland stood at 12,625 on Sunday, an increase of 78 since Saturday.

Northumberland County Council publishes the number of active coronavirus cases per ward, over a seven-day period, which is updated daily. 

On Sunday, Haltwhistle remained the worst affected ward in Northumberland, with it's number of 49 cases remaining unchanged from Saturday's total. 

Hexham Central with Acomb is now the second highest in the county, with 40 active cases. 

Prudhoe South is fourth on the list, with 30 cases, just behind both Cramlington West (38) and Cramlington West (31).
