Two police cars
A VAN overturned on Monday morning as icy conditions caused difficulties on the road.
The crash took place on Crawcrook Lane between the town and Wylam. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "“At 8.15am on Monday we received a report a vehicle had overturned on Crawcrook Lane.
“Officers attended the scene and the van was recovered and the two occupants brought to safety and are not believed to have sustained any injuries.”
