A MAN has been fined for stealing two bottles of vodka from a Tynedale shop.
Lee Robert Hetherington (22), of Appledore Close, Greenside, pleaded guilty on December 23 at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court to stealing Ciroc vodka to the value of £66 from Branch End Services, in Stocksfield, on October 23 last year.
He was fined £40, ordered to pay compensation of £66, a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £45.
Hetherington is also accused of stealing a white hybrid pedal bike worth £500 from a vehicle at Tynevale Works, Newburn, on November 10. The case was adjourned.
