THE coronavirus pandemic has led to the need for a new community noticeboard in Hexham.
That’s the view of resident Kate Bramfitt, who made the call at December’s meeting of Hexham Town Council.
She said: “I used to find out a lot of information at the library. But during the pandemic, it might help to keep people’s spirits up to know what’s going on in the town.”
Chairing the meeting, the Mayor of Hexham, Coun. Bob Hull, said there was a council noticeboard located near to the town’s Moot Hall.
Coun. Hull said it was worth exploring. He added: “I see no reason why why not. If a community board would useful, when why not?”
