A RIVER crossing in a Tyne Valley community has been closed to traffic for roadworks to take place.
A section of the former A69 road through Haydon Bridge (B6319), including the New Bridge, is closed while highways teams from Northumberland County Council carry out carriageway patching.
Ratcliffe Road and Church Street remain open, while a diversion is in place via the current A69 bypass.
